Jim Cromwell, Founder

Jim Cromwell, the founder of Camp of Champs International, received his B.S. degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has done graduate studies at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition he studied at Stevens School of the Bible in Lenox, Massachusetts.

Spinning-BasketballCoach Cromwell has over 36 years coaching experience at the middle school and high school level. In addition, he was the head coach at Stevens School for four years; an assistant coach for two years at Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Virginia; and a staff coach for the Focus on the Family/Pistol Pete Maravich Basketball Camp for four years. He also has been a clinician at numerous coaching clinics both nationally and internationally.

Coach Cromwell is the founder and director of the Camp of Champs Christian Basketball Camps. He is the former administrator and director of the Youth Basketball of America International Basketball Camp in Orlando, Florida and is the former National Tournament Director for the Youth Basketball of America Girls’ and Boys’ National Tournaments. He is also a member of the Five-Star Basketball Camp summer staff.

Coach Cromwell has contributed articles to national basketball publications and collaborated and co-authored the teachers’ edition of John Maxwell’s “Hey, It’s Your Attitude.”

Coach Cromwell and his wife Rebecca have been married 38 years and attend church at Calvary Chapel in Melbourne, FL.  They have four children – all of whom are involved in the Camp of Champs Christian Basketball Camps.
